While you're picking your raspberries, look for this pest. Raspberry cane borer is a common pest, but it's easy to spot and easy to deal with. Just snip off the top of the cane that has a larva in it. It's easy to spot because of the wilted tip AND two horizontal girdling lines about an inch apart near the top of the cane. Dispose of the infested cane so it doesn't find its way into another cane. I have about 30 feet of raspberries planted around my garden, and this task takes no more than 5 min
